It all begins with an idea.
Mechanical Engineer and Certified Pilot
Expert in Air, Land and Sea crafts
From the young age of 17, Andrei began helping his father, who was an engine mechanic in Belarus, to work on vehicles. Working with his father daily, a love for all things mechanical was birthed. It was this passion that led him to study at the Belarusian University of Informatics and Radio electronics and to pursue a private pilot’s license. Andrei’s fascination with flight and his adept mechanical skills afforded him the opportunity to become an aviation mechanic for the largest airline in his country. During his tenure there, he systematically retrofitted the RED A03 engine on the YAK-18T aircraft.
He was responsible for testing and servicing new engines.
With all of Andrei’s impressive professional accomplishments, he simultaneously studied English, which opened the doors to a position supporting clients in the United States with the German company, Raikhlin Engine Development. During his time with Raikhlin, he completed the world's first agricultural aircraft with a diesel engine, the Air Tractor 301D, which was presented at the 100-year anniversary of US Agricultural Aviation.
After working for various companies, Andrei has chosen to return to the main reason behind his craft. He absolutely loves the feeling of freedom that air, and sea travel provide, and desires for as many people as possible to experience that feeling. As a result, he founded the company Yachtex, based in Miami, Florida, to provide on demand mechanical and electrical services to luxury yacht owners. Andrei has extensive experience repairing Volvo IPS engines, and electrical and navigation systems on Fjord 44s and 52s.
